With the passing of another New England Thanksgiving, I am looking back on a year of firsts and pleasures. I am looking back on a year of endings and tragic occurrences. I am looking back and I’m finding that I am appreciative this year.

I am thankful for my life, as it is and how it has been.

I am thankful for a husband who gives more than he could ever promise, for a warm puppy to cuddle with, and a brother who creates laughter in the darkest times. I am thankful for friends who push me to be silly, nephews who say all the right things, and nieces that appreciate dancing. I am thankful for a father who taught me to…
