When I read the prompt for today a childhood song popped into my head and stayed there, like any good ear worm, for the entire day!  I learned it as a Girl Scout.  For me, regardless of how easy it is to make friends, this song is the Golden Rule of Friendship. 

I’ve thankedmy Girl Scout leaders in earlier posts, so today I’d like to thank the girls who were in my troop.  Together we camped, cooked, crafted, danced, designed, and we sang:  Make New Friends!

  1. I love this idea for a blog – what a wonderful way to focus on the positive and good things in life.

    I also have fond memories of being a Girl Guide – though we never did this song. I’m looking forward to my girls being old enough to start Guides in a few years – and this made me smile.
