This will be a quick one today.  I’ve had one of the longest days in my very short career (so far) as the Vice President of Human Resources.  Today, I did my first job fair to recruit high quality talent to our agency.  It was a bit hit and I’m super excited to find jobs for some of the folks who chatted me up today.

In the days leading up to the event, I was interviewed by the local television station  (you can see it if you click the link) that sponsored the day: WPRI Eyewitness News in Rhode Island.  Rhode Island has the highest unemployment rate in the country, and the fact that a television station has stepped up to welcome over 100 employers and 3,000 people looking for jobs, to a day-long event–at no cost to anyone; well all I can say is…WOW!  We were very successful in finding potential new staff.
